The mind drifts away,
Far, far beyond,
to a distant horizon,
where memories begin;

From pages of the past,
glimpses unfold,
images freeze,
only to dissolve,
when I open my eyes

I behold the expanse
of gleaming yellow sands,
footprints washed away
by sun-kissed waves.
But, they remain imprinted,
in the core of memory.
There they will stay,
Till the sun of life sets.

Nothing is forever.
